Foundations have been laid for a second building on Grace & Light’s headquarters site on the outskirts of Jos that will house our international office and a revenue-generating charity shop.

In the shop we will sell books donated by UK Christian charity BookAid, plus second-hand clothing, toys and household items donated locally and by our North American supporters.

“The building will give us more working and meeting space for our international and national teams,” said international coordinator Tassie Ghata. “Plus we will have a waterproof and secure place to sell books and other items donated for fundraising purposes. At the moment when we have book sales we lay the books on the ground, this is not good during the rainy season.”

Grace & Light is looking for supporters in Nigeria who have clothes, toys and household items in good condition they are willing to donate. We are also looking for space on containers we can use to ship goods from Europe and America.
