Mangu congregations affirm life sharing

Ninety people attended the day-long members’ workshop in Panyam, to the delight of volunteers in the Mangu and Jos teams who organised the event.

This was a refresher for the many members of life sharing groups in churches in Mangu local government area, along with their pastors, action committee members and leaders of the regional church council. Panyam is a town in the area.

“We were pleased so many members and leaders came to the workshop and continue to be committed to living righteous lives and supporting each other,” said international coordinator Tassie Ghata.

During the day, we talked about the practical issues Christians face when trying to live righteous lives, congratulated the leaders for continuing to support their Grace & Light members and gave an update on Grace & Light activities locally.

“These leaders and their congregations understand that the Nigerian church has a big challenge in calling people to follow what Jesus requires of us. They are willing to take us this challenge locally and that is where we start.”

Grace &Light aims to organise six such members’ workshops each year in different areas.
